How do we research?

Approaches and forms in artistic research practice in movement and dance
By artistic research I understand sensual exploration with all senses.
Thus, artistic research creates a subjective, not general, but only valid for the researcher felt knowledge. And this is exactly where the strength of this research lies, since it includes the researchers' own biographies and reflections. What it takes is a sharpening of all the senses, an education and engaging in personal experience.

Artistic research can therefore relate to an area within art itself, but it is also a valuable contribution to our understanding of the world, especially in all other areas. Art and artistic research creates knowledge that can only be experienced with one's own body(s). So it's mostly exploratory or observational and in my eyes it can be implemented in infinite and different ways. In many respects it is perhaps also about being able to define and convey one's own artistic expression and handling of the question.
It is exciting and suspenseful, because with each experiment, the individual himself enters unfamiliar territory for him or her.

As part of my research, I have dealt with various aspects of artistic research in movement and dance.
On this website I present some of my results. I hope to inspire artistic researchers with this virtual presentation and maybe show new ways and approaches.
